WACLEA Board Meeting Minutes
October 11, 2006
Clover Island Inn
Kennewick, Washington.

Board Members Present:

1. Allan Laird
2 . Pat Sturgill
3 . Bob Thompson

 

WACLEA board of director’s meeting was scheduled to be held at 3:00 PM.

A quorum was not present to conduct any business.

General members present were Brian Lineman and Darrell Stewart.

Discussion included the following:

Pat reported on the training meeting held between Harold, Jerri and himself. He stated that they felt that the WACLEA academy needed to set the standards for campus law enforcement and security agencies. It was mentioned that if an officer had already gone to an academy they should be allowed to challenge the WACLEA academy.

Thoughts about the Spring Conference topics were: Clery, Report Exec, NIMS, Facebook and Myspace, FTO programs, Premise Liability, Gangs and Sustaining Training.

There was discussion concerning the need to “revive retirement members”, a suggestion was made to try to amend the bylaws to include an “emeritus” membership, and to bring that up before the membership meeting scheduled for Friday.
